Here is a link on how to do the compression test. http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c...t/comptest.php
Keeping the pedal down allows the cylinders to fill with plenty of air for the compression stroke for a more accurate reading. Yes, the injection fuse should be removed to prevent fuel entering the cylinders.

i guess when i did the compression test my battery was not that great thus giving me bad readinds,
i believe this beacuse when i start to crank ther motor the starter would enable and cranked over the motor only for say 2sec then it disenaged and but the starter still spinning but the motor was not cranking over, i believe since my battery is not that great that it dont have enough juice to continue to engage the motor but engouh to continue turning over.
i did a wet and dry on cylinder#2 both gave me same results. but i didnot crank it over enough times to see peak compression.
well i just got off the phone with JR and i found that i forgot to set the FMU to 45psi when i got done installing the MAP controller, thus my FMU was still set at 55psi therefore i was running really really rich-which means less power and less milage- all those symtoms i am experiencing- hopefully when i set the FMU everything will be good once again!
thanks again for all the help, this forum and the poeple here are second to none!

Well, since a wet test is yielding similar results you need to get a leakdown tester to find out where the lost compression is going. This should narrow things down.
Also, i would run a feeler under the rocker to check valve clearance. I've seen instances where overtightened valves will cause lost compression numbers. HTH

hmm.... i don't think the motor is shot. even thought 4 is low, it's not that low... JT why should he hold the gas pedal down when doin a compression test....i actually pull my fuel injector fuse when i do a compression test...
Did you do a wet test as well, where you put a small amount of oil in each cylinder(about a teaspoon) and then do a compression test. If the results vary greatly between the wet and dry test, i'm pretty sure it means the piston rings could have gone bad. (someone correct me if i'm wrong here) BTW don't be alarmed when you start the car after the wet comp test, it should smoke heavily for a few minutes until all the oil has been burned up.
